App Process 2021


The objective of this event is for participants to learn how to become an Android Developer and in building apps in Kotlin following an online curriculum with a study community. This program is for people who are new to Android programming. The whole event will be live-streamed through Facebook Live and recorded and uploaded to Youtube. The program will be the following: Day 1: Introduction to Kotlin Day 2: - Getting Started into Mobile Development Talk - Build a creative and fun Hello World app on Android using Kotlin; Day 3: Codelabs challenge

We’re excited to announce that we’ll be holding an org-wide design competition from October 26 to November 8. The goal is to create a design for the DSC website. Your submission may be in the form of wireframes, prototypes, or sketches. You can work individually or form teams with up to four members.

We'll be having a panel discussion this Saturday (October 3) from 1pm to 2pm with Ms. Merissa Tan and Ms. Maddie Louis, two 3-time Google interns. They'll be giving advice on how to grow as software engineers as students and they'll also go over their journey in Google!

You can learn the basics of mobile development and an overview on each step to making a simple full stack application. We encourage everyone to attend and code with our speakers!
